The Missing Lynx Exhibition

We’re hosting a Missing Lynx exhibition, which has been visiting local venues so that people can find out about this missing mammal and share their views on lynx reintroduction through questionnaires, workshops, interviews and focus groups.

The exhibition has finished its current run, but we'll be adding more venues soon!

The free, family-friendly exhibition toured Northumberland, the edge of Cumbria and the border of southern Scotland during spring and summer 2024. Using interactive displays, the exhibition brings the lynx to life. Visitors can discover how our wild places have changed over the years, how nature has been lost and how it might fare better in the future. The exhibition charts the lynx’s comeback across Europe and how restoring missing species can help nature to recover. The final installation even offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in a wilder world, standing side by side with this missing mammal, surrounded by bird song.
